Dr. Cherilyn Sterling-Case has been making her mark in dentistry since 1999. She is the owner and Principal Dentist of Sterling Dentistry, a successful family practice that she created and developed through hard work and dedication.
The graduate of the University of Pittsburgh immersed herself in a profession that was male-dominated. "My ability to deliver was challenged numerous times," she recalls. "I was told by men that women in the industry couldn't be as productive as men, which is not the case. In fact, it has proven to be just the opposite."
As part of her journey through licensure to establishing her current practice, there were myriad challenges and complications which could have led her to hesitate but instead, she chose to persevere and focus on her professional goals.
Dr. Sterling-Case has achieved much success in cosmetic dentistry and feels rewarded by serving as a mentor to students. She is also committed to giving back to her community in various ways. "I am proud that I can live with a sense of purpose; and that it is not just
about me but also about others. It feels good to know that I am working towards making a difference. If I could leave one thing behind, my legacy, it would be that everyone can make a difference and with God all things are possible."
Dr. Sterling-Case has a challenging schedule at the dental office but it is a labour of love and she enjoys what she does. "We transform not only people's teeth and oral health but their face which helps to boost their confidence and self-esteem. It is challenging to consistently deliver high-quality results to a demanding clientele, but we are committed to doing so on a daily basis."
Dr. Sterling-Case provides patient-focused care, specializing in cosmetic dentistry work including Invisalign and her practice has been recognized as one of the most successful in the city.
"Her practice is a model for others to follow and her work is not only incredible but inspirational," a close colleague, Dr. Flemming stated.
It is a continuous effort for this mother and professional to effectively balance family and work. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Sterling-Case cherishes time spent with her husband and three sons.
